These emails were discovered near the end of the Clinton's presidential campaign and were not released in order to keep voting fair. Although these emails would not have "changed the Federal Bureau of Investigation's decision that Mrs. Clinton had committed no prosecutable offences. After this news was discovered, Mr. McCabe (in charge of the investigation) stepped down. Holding the emails was very questionable and McCabe would not comment on the reason he stepped down or about the investigation. It is thought that they were held so Mrs. Clinton's election was not affected, but that has not been confirmed.
The authors use very formal diction and don't show much emotional connection. They used words like "lag" to keep the formality and a dull tone. This is key for this topic and it is a serious matter and she be dealt with straightforward. The authors don't use many rhetorical devices as the topic is best described if they give facts and quotes instead. This topic is still very hot, by writing this they may get more clicks and people reading which will make them more money. This doesn't however influence any bias into the details as a majority of the information is statistics and quotes. They do a great job writing this and handled the situation very well.
